I have quite a few passions in life; Photography, Travel, cooking, history, movies, and sports. My passion project will combine some passions to create a project that will show my personality and my learning ability. The hook of my project is to cook 1 traditional meal/dish from every country on earth, all 197 of them. It will take some time to complete all countries but it is a project I can continue well beyond graduation. To help get my project out to the masses I will create a blog or twitter profile (Probably both) to discuss, explain, and review each dish. I believe that this will bring extra value to my portfolio because it will show employers and connections that I can learn a variety of topics as well as showing them that I can connect with a variety of different backgrounds.
Outcome: I only wrote one essay about food culture, I'm sure I will keep uploading. It was difficult finding time out of my day since most of these traditional recipes take up hours upon hours to prep, sometimes even days. I wanted it to be more of an educational and research project so I had to take a lot of time researching the countries plus food culture and sometimes agricultural facts about the country. I wanted it to be more of a history/cultural lesson rather than a lesson in cooking.
